Ah, what a great day! I've been working on some smaller crafts to make for shows that take less time to make = less cost for buyers and have come up with a few little things. Today I was working on a card wallet, inspired by my dear sweet mother. With so many cards (ie. credit, bank, gas, discount, gift, etc) I often find I don't have room in my wallet, but I want to have them around when I need them. When I was visiting last weekend I notice my mom had a similar problem and decided I would put together a little card wallet to accompany her wallet. In the process I realized it was a great item to sell as it's unisex and shouldn't take me too long once I get it down pat. I have a few done and will post a picture tomorrow.
I also found out I have an interview at a local museum (I was an educational and interpretive coordinator at a museum before I was laid off), which is super exciting. Mark and I also went to the local YMCA again and got in a good workout. I forgot how good it feels to work out!
Also, I finally took a picture of a custom doll I made of my partner. I love doing custom work and have made other custom dolls before (both sewing and crochet), but never created one of a male. It was fun to turn my guy into a snuggly doll. He's really happy with my little surprise, but now wants me to make him a matching outfit and hat - lol.
Last night before bed I also started making some little homemade matchbook notepads. Not sure if I'll offer them for sale (4/$5.00), but I'm really enjoying making them. I have some beautiful scrapbook paper that I haven't been using because it's too nice to part with. These little books though are helping me use it up.
More pictures to follow!
